Case Study 3

Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project

As part of the Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project with the Mallee Catchment Management Authority, I spearheaded the coordination of statutory communications and engagement strategies.

Guiding a dynamic team responsible for Traditional Owner engagement, my team co-ordinated collaboration with the department, Parks Victoria, other catchment management authorities, and rural water corporations.

My leadership extended to the crafting and execution of a communications and engagement strategy for the Environmental Effects Statement/Environmental Report. It also included deft navigation in speaking to the media and briefing local members of parliament.

I’m particularly proud of our team’s work driven by an extensive environmental scan, in recalibrating our strategic communications approach. This shift focused on bridging critical gaps and touching hearts and minds, transcending mere project particulars.
